Here is a great suggestion for Thanksgiving leftovers – Made with turkey, cream cheese, jalapeño, and cranberries. Once again, it’s easy to make and great to eat.
- Pop-open Biscuits – Pillsbury or your favorite brand, regular or buttermilk biscuits
- Turkey, white or dark meat – about 1 cup
- Cream Cheese – ½ cup
- Cranberry Sauce – Canned or homemade
- Sliced Jalapeno (small bottle or small can)
Let cream cheese soften to room temperature.
Chop the sliced jalapenos into small pieces.
Mix these two ingredients (cream cheese and Jalapenos) together.
Chop the turkey into pieces about ¼ inch in size or smaller.
Flatten out each piece of dough so that it is about ¼ inch in thickness.
Place cranberry sauce, about ½ teaspoon, onto the dough.
Place 4 or 5 pieces of turkey on top of the cranberry sauce.
Place about 1 teaspoon of the jalapeno cream cheese mixture on top of the turkey.
Pull the edges of the dough up around the components you have placed on the dough and pinch the edges together. Make sure the dough is pinched tight to seal the food inside the dough. Otherwise the cranberry or cream cheese may leak out onto the pan surface.
Place the filled dough pieces into the pan and cook them the way you cook all your other Doughies.
They are ready when they are golden brown.
Eat them while they’re hot.
